This programme takes the viewer across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to witness the wealth of natural beauty and heritage that are currently in the care of The National Trust.

It is time to crown a new king of the kingdom of Bogg, and King Mildew's son, Milo, seems like the best creature for the job. However, Vandred, the king's brother, has other plans, and intends to put his son, Vandal, on the thrown. He challenges Milo, who must prove his worthiness by retrieving the Crown of Bogg and returning it to the kingdom. The crown has been banned from the kingdom for years because it is cursed, but Mildew and Milo are willing to face the risks of the quest in order to keep Vandred and Vandal from assuming control of the kingdom. But in order to retrieve the crown, they will have to leave Bogg and go to The Surface...where the humans are.

When Matthew explores the 'spiral' in his grandmother's garden (a strange structure built by his late grandfather) he discovers an entrance into the magical world of 'the Shadows' where he meets his new Shadow friends, Yorrick and Alice, and begins his great adventure.

Olga Kriga, a New York boarding house maid, is loved by John Knight, an automobile salesman, asks her to wed him. One day in a delicatessen, she is seen by a foreigner, who immediately hails her as "Queen." He tells her the faithful cabinet is waiting nearby. The foreigner is a servant of the former prime minister and he insists that she is the long lost ruler of Sylvania, a small European country. Olga decides to pose as that lost queen of Sylvania, and travels to that Balkan country accompanied by Knight. Count Mirko, knowing her return will cause usurper troubles, plans to make it appear beneficial to be rid of Olga. However, the people of the country acclaim her as queen and, after a revolt, put her on the throne. Happiness has been restored to Sylvania, but Olga decides that she no longer to pose as a royal and returns to New York with Knight. A lost film.

A young swindler Roma deceives a wealthy old man out of his inheritance. Along with the property, he inherits four gnomes – good magical creatures capable of finding ancient treasures. But their power can only be used for good deeds. Roma, through deceit, begins to exploit them to get rich, but with each bad act, the power of the mysterious creatures wanes.

Sattha, a master Nohra dancer, wants his son Singh to inherit his troupe of Nohra dancers, but Singh wants to be a guitarist. While the two are arguing one day, Singh accidentally breaks the Crown and goes on the run.
